Silo Studio x In Casa By Paboy

Originally from The Gambia, Bojang founded his Naples-based homeware brand, In Casa By Paboy, during the first 2020 lockdown, hand-sewing vibrant cushion covers using locally sourced Italian cotton. Having honed his craft as a boy in his uncle’s tailoring shop, his story – marked by resilience, artistry, and migration – has captured hearts around the world.

Having followed In Casa by Paboy since he first launched, Hannah has been inspired by his journey, his beautiful designs and obvious hand craftsmanship and skill. In a world where everything is mass produced in large factories, it is so inspiring to see someone so skilled, advocating for things to be handmade, in small runs, taking time over each product. As well as connecting to his beautiful product, Hannah also found his story so inspiring. Aligning both the brands felt only natural due to the clear interest in colour, pattern and craftsmanship. Hannah wanted to create cushions from her 'Natte' fabric and Paboy has transformed them into works of art!

Each cushion features our 'Natte' fabric, a bold print inspired by Senegalese woven mats, either framed by a plain ruffle or paired with Bojang’s joyful patchwork. The fabrics are printed in a family-run mill in England and sewn by hand in Bojang’s Naples studio – each piece a testament to the beauty of craft and collaboration. See the full collection here.

Silo Studio x Flabelus

After spotting our collection of patterned Plates & Platters, Flabelus got in touch to see if we could make them a set of 15 plates to decorate their new Ledbury Road store. Flabelus is a Spanish brand specialising in hand crafted espadrille shoes, made by expert craftsmen in the centuries old certified espadrille technique. Our brands resonated as we both value this importance of craft and keeping age old techniques alive.

We worked together to come up with the designs for the plates which featured one of the iconic Flabelus shoes and Silo Studio's signature check border. Each plate was hand painted in our studio by Hannah, each one of a kind to be displayed in the Flabelus store in Notting Hill.

Silo Studio x Alvaro Picardo

After designing our colourful striped lamps, we wanted to make lampshades which would highlight and compliment their hand crafted nature. We therefore collaborated with friend and supporter of Silo Studio, Alvaro Picardo.

Picardo is a Spanish designer, specialising in hand painted lampshades. He has worked with numerous well known brands and has really made his mark in the British interiors world with work being featured in The World of Interiors, House & Garden and Vogue (to name a few).

After discovering that we were practically neighbours in Hampshire and bonding over our joint love of pattern and design, it was only natural to discuss a collaboration. We worked closely with Alvaro to make these bespoke, made to order lampshades. Each lampshade has been meticulously hand painted by Alvaro in carefully chosen colour ways to work alongside each of our lamps. View the collection here.

Special Project - Commissioned Tile Mural

After spotting Hannah's hand painted tiles and vibrant patterns, a client commissioned her to design and manufacture a whole wall mural made from hand painted tiles. The mural consisted of 160 tiles in a star design with a checkered border inspired by the tiles seen all over Lisbon. The tiles were made traditionally in Portugal by specialist artisans to complete the desired hand made effect.
