After designing our colourful striped lamps, Hannah wanted to make lampshades which would highlight and compliment their hand crafted nature. She therefore collaborated with friend and supporter of Silo Studio, Alvaro Picardo.

Picardo is a Spanish designer, specialising in hand painted lampshades. He has worked with numerous well known brands and has really made his mark in the British interiors world with work being featured in The World of Interiors, House & Garden and Vogue (to name a few).

After discovering that Hannah and Alvaro were practically neighbours in Hampshire and bonding over their joint love of pattern and design, it was only natural for them to discuss a collaboration. Hannah worked closely with Alvaro to make these bespoke, made to order lampshades. Each lampshade has been meticulously hand painted by Alvaro in carefully chosen colour ways to work alongside each of our lamps. View the collection here.
